Campbell Contracts endeavour to ensure that activities are managed in such a way that environmental impact is reduced to a practicable minimum, achieving the aims of sustainable development.
We are committed to showing continual improvement of environmental performance by setting clear objectives and targets and regularly monitoring progress against these. These address the following five areas of concept:
- Waste Management
- Hazardous Substance Management
- Incident Response
- Control of Access
- Staff training and awareness
We have invested heaving in trenchless technology in order to minimize waste and mitigate environmental damage. We also advocate the reuse of excavated material for backfilling or landscaping where possible
We have developed and are currently implementing an Environmental Management System foe which we intend to seek accreditation to ISO 14001, which will indicate measures for complying with all existing regulatory consents issued at European, national and local levels and adopting a proactive stance in anticipating future more stringent regulatory requirements. This will also develop more effective measures for responding to accidents or emergencies and thereby avoiding minimizing environmental damage and wil reinforce our commitment to continuous staff training and awareness.
